Healthy Newborn Ward
Accordingly with the recommendations of the World Health Organization, healthy newborn care has been organized in accordance with the room-in system. It means that right from childbirth, the infant remains in the same room as the mother. The highly professional staff of the newborn and obstetrics ward provides high quality care for the mother and child. We implement the procedures of care for breastfeeding mothers in accordance with the concept of promotion of natural breast feeding. Everyday medical examinations, constant supervision provided by the nurse and by the midwife, advice offered by a certified consultant and a lactation advisor make the stay at the Clinic both a safe and a pleasant experience.

Newborn Pathology Ward
Unfortunately, not all children are born healthy. Some require observation, diagnostics, and even treatment. For this group of our patients, we have adapted a part of our Clinic, which provides direct supervision of the health condition of newborn children. State-of-the-art, professional incubators; monitoring systems; our highly competent doctors and nurses, who constantly undergo development and improvement; broad diagnostic and multidimensional treatment possibilities; procedures, which are compliant with the global standards; are all dedicated to providing care for newborns with health disorders.

Newborn Intensive Therapy Ward
The ward is professionally organized and equipped with state-of-the-art lifesaving devices of all risk levels. It ensures the possibility of treatment of acute respiratory distress syndrome of various etiology, offering everything from the controlled passive oxygen therapy and non-invasive ventilation support, through various forms of artificial breathing with the possibility of synchronization with the patient’s breathing to mechanical ventilation using nitrogen oxide (NO) and oscillatory ventilation (HFOV).

A beautiful, unique chapter of history of the Clinic is associated with Professor Danuta Łozińska and her research on serologic incompatibility. The obstetrical and neonatological team has continued this tradition, developing prenatal diagnostics and treatment in the prenatal period and after birth.
Another specific feature of the Clinic is hospitalization of newborns with congenital defects detected in the prenatal period. These children are ensured professional first aid and transport to the appropriate facilities for further treatment.

The Clinic cooperates with a team of consultants in cardiology, ophthalmology, radiology, ultrasonography, rehabilitation, and surgery.

The team of doctors is engaged in research programmes, focused mainly on diagnostics, monitoring and treatment of newborns with extremely low body mass at birth.
All of our hospitalized patients are ensured a high level of safety, professional diagnostics, and therapy in accordance with the recognized and approved standards.
